Otherwise known as "The Rock", Newfoundland and Labrador's recorded history began over 1000 years ago when the Vikings set foot on land (North America's only authentic historical Viking site, an UNESCO World Heritage site). Newfoundland and Labrador is home to humpback whales, puffins, and icebergs the size of skyscrapers.
